Cow's Milk

I find drinking Cow's milk is icky... Its a personal thing, it just dosent quite agree with me. I prefer Soy.
Though  as we all know... 99.99% of the world do like to drink this milk.
Question for you is: Who was the first person to ever discover that milk came from a cow and why were they doing that in the first place?
